Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis
Stargate SG-1 has been renewed for an astonishing and unprecedented tenth season. All season nine regular cast members are expected to return to their roles for season ten. Stargate Atlantis has also been renewed for a third season.
For the ninth season of Stargate SG-1, the producers considered changing the title of the series to Stargate Command. As you know, they ultimately decided against the move clearing the way for Stargate SG-1 to become the longest running science fiction series on American television with the series' renewal for a tenth season.
Some Early Stargate SG-1 Season Ten News:
All season nine regular cast members have signed on for season ten (that's cast members: Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks, Ben Browder, and Beau Bridges). Claudia Black (Vala Mal Doran) has signed on as a new regular cast member for season ten.
Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson) will appear in 16 of 20 episodes ordered for the tenth season of Stargate SG-1. He is taking time off to be with his family. No fear, Shanks will appear in the 200th episode of the show.
Michael Shanks and wife Lexa Doig (Carolyn Lam) welcomed a son, Samuel David Shanks, into the world on March 19, 2006.
Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis began filming for their tenth and third respective seasons on Monday (February 20, 2006).
Stargate SG-1's landmark 200th episode will begin filming on Wednesday April 5, 2006 with a very special guest star. Richard Dean Anderson returns to the role of General Jack O'Neill. He will then appear in at least one episode of Stargate Atlantis bringing Anderson's total number of appearances on the SG-1 spin-off to three episodes. Anderson last appeared in the Stargate Atlantis premiere episode "Rising" Parts 1 & 2. He's not done yet. Anderson will make further appearances on Stargate SG-1 during the show's tenth season.
As of now, March 28, 2006, the 200th episode of Stargate SG-1 is apply titled "200."

Star Trek
Sadly, on November 1, 2005, Michael Piller passed away. He executive produced Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987 to 1994). Piller also co-created both Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993 to 1999) and Star Trek: Voyager (1995 to 2001). Outside of the Star Trek franchise, Piller developed The Dead Zone (2002 to present) TV series with his son Shawn Piller based on the Stephen King book and movie of the same name.
Note: As I stated on 04-16-04, I will attempt to catch up all episodes of Stargate SG-1 before I start working on any other series.
