Repeat Air Date: 12-26-01

Summary: Ensign Mayweather is excited to be going to Terra Nova--the first human colony on another planet. A landing party investigates why Earth lost contact with Terra Nova. Reed encounters someone in the forest and informs Archer. Archer and Reed search a near by cave for evidence of humans. They get into a fire fight with some locals in which Reed is injured and captured by the terra Novans. Archer, Mayweather and T'Pol return to the Enterprise. After a conversation with the crew, Archer returns to Terra Nova with Dr. Phlox to rescue Lt. Reed. Dr. Phlox treats Reed while Archer tries to convince the Novans that they are from Earth as well. Dr. Phlox informs a Novan woman named Nadet (Mary Carver) that she has lung cancer. Her son, Jamin (Erick Avari) leads Nadet, Archer and Dr. Phlox out of the cave. They go up to Enterprise while Reed remains on Terra Nova. T'Pol discovers that an asteroid hit the planet and caused the poison rain which drove the Novans underground. Nadet's cancer is cured, but Dr. Phlox discovers a new problem--the poison has seeped into the water supply and is making all Novans ill. Archer tries one last time to convince the Novans that they are from Earth, but he fails. After a conversation with T'Pol about relocating the Novans, against their will to Earth, Archer finds another solution. He proposes to move the Novans to the southern continent which is uneffected by the poison. Upon landing, the shuttle pod falls below the ground into the caves. Archer and the Novans search the caves and finds an injured Novan. Archer and Jamin rescue the injured Novan. Nadet convinces the other Novans to move to the South. Archer, T'Pol, Tucker and Mayweather discuss other mysteries, that occurred in the Twentieth Century, in the Captain's Mess.
