Here are some pics of my 1/48th two-man
space assault fighter bash/scratchbuild.
The Design-

This shows the original Stinger model half and the butchery I did to the other.

The front fin mount was filed down, all
surfaces sanded with ever decreasing grade sanding sticks until polished smooth,
then all the part slots and engraving detail was filled with epoxy putty.
This shot shows both halves done and glued together. It also shows the 1/20th
seat removed from the cockpit and the beginning of the sanding of the
instruments.

Close-up of the cockpit butchery.

Two views of the cockpit with the new sheet styrene floor and a 1/48th Hasegawa pilot for scale. The two crewbeings, pilot and gunner will sit back to back.

Here is a pic of the cockpit coming along with some resin and PE instruments (I pick 'em up in sale bins all the time for scratchbuilding.) The instrument cowling is from a 1/48th Revell F-18 Hornet. The scanner screen is from a 1/32 F-14, oversized, I know, but I wanted a large screen for the main display and this was perfect.
Here is the work on the front landing skid which will retract into the hull (if all works right). The hinge is brass scrap from a PE sheet wrapped around a metal pin sandwiched in place by a sheet styrene raised panel. The nose (if you have build the Seaquest Stinger you know it comes to a blunt nose) was made by securing masking tape on ether side and pinching it to a point, then pouring some resin in. It was sanded to shape after it was dry and the tape removed.
