As a supplement to my day job as a bench scientist, I enjoy doing outreach to the general public. My goal is to "translate" the various fields of biology with which I am intimately familiar into terms that the layperson can understand, thereby increasing awareness, facilitating informed decision-making, and creating a science-friendly social climate.
