5. Now try to form a question and hypothesis based on your answers to questions 1 to 4. A hypothesis is an educated guess (based on your own experience) at the answer to the question.

6. How could you find out if this guess is true? Do an experiment!!!! Think of a way you could find out, by comparing something to something else, or by measuring or counting something (e.g. weighing potato chip packets).

10. TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS: Most science fairs also include a technology option now, applying science to human needs. You may find an idea that fits the technology section, and of course many projects are science AND technology.
What problems have you noticed about the way things work around your house? What could you invent to fix the problem, or to improve a product? E.g. if an outside light is left on unnoticed, could you do a model of a circuit to indicate this? If someone likes reading in the bath, could you invent a bath table? If ants eat the cat food, could you invent a moat dish?
