raise what seems as compelling evidence against the so-called theory of 'Microconsciousness'. Synesthesia - perceptual cross-overs in brain and Mind. T.Z. Rams�y Normally, we think of our sense perceptions as quite separate entities. You hear a sound, you see a flash of light, you feel a touch on your cheek. But not all have such clear-cut experiences. Some people - sometimes called "synesthetes" - experience perceptual crossovers, experiencing colors when hearing specific sounds, and having specific taste experiences when listening to music. While these phenomena are interesting solely from a phenomenological viewpoint, they might yield insights into the relationship between brain and mind.
