RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR 1978 OR NEWER CARS

1. The promoter has the right to approve or reject any entry. Only American made passenger cars can compete. No trucks, vans, ambulances, jeeps, carry alls, limousines. 1978 New Yorkers, Chrysler imperials or 4 wheel drives. If derby is a sedan only derby, no station wagons will be allowed. Judges decision is final. Bring title if you think there will be a question. Call if you have any questions about wagons. No Chrysler bodies allowed on Imperial frames.
2. Standard safety belts are required.
3. No cutting or reinforcements allowed to the car. Any reinforcements found during inspection will cause car to be disqualified. No bolting of fender panels together. You can cut fenders or body work for wheel clearance only.. If fender wells are cut out to much, you car will not run. (3b) you cannot screw, weld, bolt, rivet or reinforce in any way the frame, body, doors, fenders, quarter panels, or leave rear seats in wagons, braces, trunks, etc. DRIVERS DOOR ONLY MAY BE WELDED SOLID. All other doors must be securely fastened by straps or chain. Officials reserve right to cut hole in frame to check this rule.
4. All cars must have front doors painted white. If doors are not white you will be fined. No profanity on the car.
5. Drivers door protection is mandatory. Door plates � in. min. thickness running from post to post with bottom edge below drivers seat. These plates are to be bolted on with a minimum of 8 � in. bolts. Plate or bars can be on inside of door also. The door plate can be made of other construction ideas, but a door protection plate is mandatory.
6. Hoods must have 12 in. hole cut above the carburetor. The fan cannot be exposed with this hole. The car must have a hood, and at no time can a car compete without the hood in place. A bar is mandatory in the middle of windshield to top of car to prevent the hood from coming in on the driver.
7. Hoods, trunks, and tailgates MUST OPEN at time of inspection. Following inspection, these may be fastened only 6 places with �"  chain or #9 wire. Nothing can be in front of radiator. No all-thread. No lacing on bumper.
8. A rollover bar may be used. No full cages, absolutely no reinforcement of frame.
9. All glass side and rear windows, plastic grill, headlights and taillights must be removed before reaching track. Rolling down windows is not permitted. Also all body trim must be removed (all chrome strips). If the car has a plastic grill it must be removed also.
10. Rear seat on sedan and station wagons MUST BE REMOVED. Station wagons must be emptied to the floorboard. All cars must be swept clean.
11. Gas tank must be removed from original mounting position and securely mounted in trunk or back seat area. Tanks must be securely mounted and covered with tin or steel. The covering must be of some material that is not flammable. These firewalls will be checked closely. NO MORE THAN 5 GALLONS OF GAS is allowed in car at any time. If electric fuel pump is used it must be wired to the ignition. Fuel lines must be clamped to tank. If fuel line goes thru car, it must be enclosed in PVC pipe, so that line is not directly exposed to driver. Only 6 gallon boat tanks permitted, or some tank of similar construction.
12. Ether will not be allowed in car at anytime.
13. Radiators must be left in stock position. No alterations to front end allowed. You can not run extra radiators or water supplies. Transmission coolers are allowed, in front of firewall only. Firewalls to have all holes covered with thin sheet metal.
14. Batteries must be moved. You can use 2 batteries, but they must be securely mounted and covered. Battery cannot be in area of gas tank. No bungee or tarp straps for battery box.15. SUSPENSION MUST REMAIN STRICTLY STOCK. Do not invert shackles with bolts, extra clamps or extra leaf springs. Shocks must have 2"  travel. A maximum 21 in. bumper height will be enforced.
16. Leaf springs may not be wider than 1� inches, no more than � in. thick and absolutely no more than 7 springs per side. No truck rear ends. Rear end must be make of car. 21" bumper front and rear. No blocks or spring jacks permitted.
17. Trailer hitches and brackets of any type must be removed.
18. Engine and transmissions must be same make as car. Motor mounts may be welded, but not extra bracing to frame allowed. Motors cannot be moved from original mounts. This rule means - GM motors in GM car, etc.
19. You cannot weld leaf springs together. No special bumpers allowed. Bumper shocks may be welded with 4 spot welds only or chained with �" dia. Chain.. Bumper shocks cannot be welded solid.
20. D.O.T. STAMPED TIRES ONLY. No special tires allowed. If it does not look like a conventional passenger car tire it is not legal. No fork lift tires stamped or not. NONE. Fluid, studs or screws to hold tires in place will be permitted. Nothing welded to rim. 16" maximum size tire allowed. No valve stem covers permitted on wheels.
21. Driver must stay with car to help pull it off track. If driver is not present when it comes time to tow it, it will be offered to the local salvage.
22. Every car making feature, will be re-inspected before feature.
23. Hoods can be wired with #9 wire or with �" max diameter chain. They must be secured in the four corners, meaning two by the windshield corners and two by the front, nothing in front of the radiator. FOUR CORNERS THAT'S WHAT WE'LL EXPECT; plus 2 other spots. No lacing on bumpers.
24. Headers are allowed but they must point up.

26. Hood and trunk must be open at inspection unless car has previously run, and cannot be opened up. New cars must open. If trunk cannot open a hole 12 in. in diameter must be cut to allow inspection.
27. Body bushings may be removed, but no other size washers, and no plates over 1 in. square. No oversize bolts.
28. No undercoating on frame, or fresh paint. The body must be on stock body mounts, or provide sufficient spacers to allow for inspection of the frame, or provide access holes as requested to inspect the frame of the car.
29. No intentional crushing or body modifications to strengthen car or cause to create ramping when car is hit.
30. Promoter has right to eject any participant or spectator from the grounds for what we deem unsportsmanlike behavior. Our decision will be final and there will be no appeal.
31. No alcohol allowed on grounds or pits.
32. Registration in Pit Area 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Day of Show).
33. All cars must run in a heat to be eligible for consolation or feature.
34. All vehicles will be removed within 24 hours of the event. Any additional time requirements must be approved by the promoter. Any vehicles left without all four wheels attached will be considered abandoned. All abandoned vehicles will be disposed of by the promoter and the registered driver of the car will be responsible for those charges prior to entering any future event.
The sponsor/promoter reserves the right to disqualify or prevent any entrant from participation for any reason that they feel constitutes a safety hazard, contributes to an unfair competition, or in anyway disrupts the intention of the sponsor/promoter of having a family oriented form of entertainment and is a positive influence in the community.
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PRE-1978 CARS

1. THE DEMO DERBY is promoted as an unusual spectator attraction. In the interest of safety and the promotion of family values events. Anyone entering as a participant (driver or support staff) or spectator must obey all rules and regulations.
2. Any American made hard top stock passenger car or station wagon is permitted, except those equipped with a limousine or heavy duty frame such as 1966 or older Chrysler imperials. No rear engine i.e., Volkswagens, Corvairs, etc. No trucks, Jeeps etc.
3. All glass, chrome, trim, outside mirrors etc., must be removed prior to bringing vehicle to the event grounds. Included are windshield, side windows, rear window, head and taillights, and includes all bulbs. Rolling windows down is not permitted. Screen wire may be used to cover windshield opening, but is not required.
4. The rear seat must be removed. In case of station wagons, the rear seat is the seat directly behind the driver's seat.
5. The original gas tank must be REMOVED. A marine gas tank or an approved metal container is recommended. Tank must be securely strapped or bolted in the rear seat area using only metal straps. A maximum of five gallons of gas per heat. All tanks must have a secure fill cap, and all lines must have LEAK PROOF connections such as FITTINGS OR CLAMPS. Metal fuel lines (copper or steel tubing) are recommended. Rubber (gasoline approved) line may be used at each end. Rubber line must be new or of good quality (no weather cracks). All lines must be clear of moving parts and battery terminals. For safety reasons, FUEL SYSTEMS RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!
6. All batteries must be strapped or bolted to the passenger side floor board and covered with a protective covering.
7. No special bumpers, reinforcements, or trailer hitches will be allowed.,
8. Roll over bars are recommended, but are not required. No other reinforcements are allowed with the exception of the driver's door. Bars must stop 8" in front of rear frame hump.
9. Radiators and fans may be removed but not relocated. No auxiliary cooling system, engine or transmission may be placed behind the firewall.
10. Cutting fender wells for wheel clearance only, is permissible. Frame must be stock for your vehicle. Factory holes in frame must not be covered or plugged in order to hide foreign material from inspection. The body must be on stock body mounts, or provide sufficient spacers to allow for inspection of the frame, or provide access holes as requested to inspect the frame of the car. No materials may be added that in any way strengthen the frame. Firewalls to remain intact and holes covered.
11. All doors must be fastened shut by wire (#9 or heavier), chains or bolts. THE DRIVER'S DOOR ONLY may be reinforced by welding or have a metal plate inside or out which may only extend 6" past each end of the door and not to exceed 18" in height and must be securely mounted. If a car door comes open during the competition, the car is disqualified. This includes tailgates on station wagons.
12. Passenger compartment and trunk must be swept clean of debris. No tires, wheels, metal parts, broken glass etc., is allowed in the car.
13. The hood latch must be removed. Hoods and trunks must be wired, chained or bolted shut. allthread not to exceed �"  in diameter may be used as long as they are not used to protect the radiator. If hood or trunk is bolted shut before inspection, large enough holes will be required for easy inspection of these areas. This includes tailgates on wagons. Hood must have holes on each side, but not directly above the carb., large enough to extinguish engine fires without raising the hood. Max. of 8 tie downs each on hood and trunk. Sixteen total. Only two pieces of allthread allowed on hood and trunk., four total.
14. Brakes must be operable prior to the event.
15. Only D.O.T. regulation tires will be permitted.
16. Driver's door must be painted white. Numbers must be requested when registering. If no number is requested, one will be assigned. All cars must have large legible numbers on each side and top of car. NO OBSCENITIES ANYWHERE ON THE CAR. Mufflers and tailpipes must be removed, but exhaust pipe must be left on car for safety reasons. Exhaust must go up or down, not out front of car.
17. No lacing body seams (excluding bumpers). #9 wire only - 8 pieces Max. With none connecting to hoods or trunks.
18. At least one brace or post, upright on windshield, fastened securely to prevent hood from coming into driver's compartment.
19. No smoking during the time you are participating.
20. Each driver must have a valid drivers license. Any driver under 18 years of age must have a notarized release signed by their parents or guardian. For insurance reasons, you will need to show your Driver's License at this year's derby to verify your name and address when you sign a release. If you have forgotten it - you will not participate. NO EXCEPTIONS.
21. For insurance and safety reasons, only pump gasoline will be allowed. NO alcohol or other exotic fuels.
22. Aggressive action must be taken every 90 seconds. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Being hit does not constitute aggressive action. Action must be against an active car still in competition. No sand bagging, hiding or team driving will be tolerated. No coaching from the sidelines. No deliberate hits on driver's door or head on collisions will be permitted. A head on is hood ornament to hood ornament while both cars are moving toward each other. Off center front end hits are permissible.
23. STAY IN YOUR CAR UNTIL THE HEAT IS OVER. IN CASE OF FIRE OR BY INSTRUCTION OF AN OFFICIAL ONLY SHOULD YOU LEAVE YOUR CAR. Remain belted in and continue wearing your helmet and eye protection.
24. During the event, only official authorized personnel will be allowed in the arena.
25. Any car spilling gas or catching fire will be disqualified. DECISION OF THE OFFICIALS ARE FINAL. Fire that is immediately sucked back into the exhaust will be overlooked.
26. The last three cars running and aggressive will advance to the feature. Cars that do not win heats are eligible to run in a consolation heat, where two winners will advance to the feature. Cars must run in a heat to be eligible for consolation or feature.
27. Safety belts, approved helmets and eye protection are required, and this will be strictly enforced.
28. Driver may enter each heat but must have a different car for each heat. Car only (not driver) qualifies for the feature. Any change in drivers must be pre-approved by officials.
29. Drivers must sign entry blank and insurance release prior to event.
30. All cars and debris must be pulled away from the grounds by 12:00 noon the day following the event or they become the property of the sponsors. A fee will be charged to those who do not comply with removal.
31. Anyone removing cars without authorization WILL BE PROSECUTED.
32. THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES ARE FINAL. ARGUING OR FIGHTING, FROM THE DRIVER, CREW OR SPECTATORS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
33. The sponsor/promoter reserves the right to disqualify or prevent any entrant from participation for any reason that they feel constitutes a safety hazard, contributes to an unfair competition, or in anyway disrupts the intention of the sponsor/promoter of having a family oriented form of entertainment and is a positive influence in the community.
34. We ask that participants practice good sportsmanship and give a sincere effort to make this event one that will insure cooperation among drivers and officials, and one hopefully you'll leave knowing you have been treated fairly and enjoyed enough to make you want to return, regardless of where you are from. This is not a county fair event, and you will not experience any prejudice or partiality due to the fact that you do not reside here.
35. Officials will be selected from several areas, from past official or driver experience, to make this a well organized and fair event.
36. One hundred percent of the entry fee money will be paid out. Rookies are welcome and a special Rookie heat will advance three to the feature.
37. Signing a release under false name or other information is punishable by law.
38. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in permanent disqualification.
39. In order for us to insure fair competition, which is the way this derby was designed, we will notify past and future participants by registered mail that they should not attend if: 1)They knowingly and deliberately violated rules in order to fraudulently win prize money. 2)Create or participate in an unsportsmanlike manner at any time on our property. Since this is private property, if you have been notified by mail not to participate, it will apply to any where on the property.
40. All vehicles will be removed within 24 hours of the event. Any additional time requirements must be approved by the promoter. Any vehicles left without all four wheels attached will be considered abandoned. All abandoned vehicles will be disposed of by the promoter and the registered driver of the car will be responsible for those charges prior to entering any future event.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR MINI CARS

A. This Demolition Derby is promoted as an unusual spectator attraction. In the interest of safety and the promotion of family values events, anyone entering as a participant (driver or support staff) or spectator must obey ALL rules and regulations.
B. Each driver must fill out an entry blank. All drivers must supply their own cars. Only one entry per person unless otherwise specified.
C. Each driver must be 18 years of age and hold a valid drivers license. Drivers under 18 years of age must have a notarized release signed by legal parent /guardian.
D. The event sponsors reserves the right to approve or reject any and all entries.
E. One driver and one mechanic will be admitted with each paid entry. Each entry fee is $20.00.
F. No cars permitted on track before their assigned event. Succeeding heat is to be lined up inside fenced area while preceding heat is on track.
G. Cars may be re-inspected at any time and/or as many times as promoter deems necessary.
H. Promoter reserves the right to assign heats.
I. No alcohol allowed on grounds or pits.

PARTICIPATION REGULATIONS

1. Any American made or foreign made two (2) wheel drive Uni-Body style car. Wheelbase of 100 inches or less (NO BOXED FRAMED OR 4 WHEEL DRIVE CARS ALLOWED.) No Pacers.
2. Safety belts, approved helmets, goggles or face shields are mandatory. Approved safety glasses allowed.
3. All Glass and trim moldings must be removed before entering Derby Pit Area. Auto must be swept clean of all debris and loose parts. No mirrors are allowed.
4. ORIGINAL GAS TANKS MUST BE RELOCATED OR APPROVED GAS TANKS, such as marine type, to be mounted in the back seat area with secure metal fasteners. ALL LINES MUST HAVE LEAKPROOF CONNECTIONS (such as fittings or clamps). Taped connections not allowed. Gasoline approved rubber lines allowed if new or of good quality, otherwise metal lines with 12"  max. rubber hose connections. ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS ALLOWED, with kill switch on dash, 3 gallons of fuel max. All carbs must have cover to suppress backfire flames.
5. Body, Frame, and Bumpers to remain stock (o.e.m.) and remain in stock mounts and locations. Any added metal that strengthens or re-enforces frame or body not allowed with exception of driver's door. Driver's door may be plated with max plate 1/4 " steel not to extend more than 6 inches past door seams. Welding drivers door only is allowed. Other doors may be wired shut with max. 2 strands of #9 wire per seam. Trailer hitch assemblies must be completely removed. Fire walls must remain intact with holes patched with thin sheet metal.
6. Radiators must remain in stock position (tilting allowed). Radiator may not be mounted with a solid loop of steel or any other bars that touch left frame rail to right frame rail. No part of any cooling system allowed behind fire wall.
7. Hood and Deck lid must remain operable for initial inspection. Car must have hood at all times. HOODS MUST HAVE TWO 12" BY 12" HOLES CUT ON EACH SIDE OF CARB FOR FIRE CREW ACCESS. Hoods and trunks allowed a max of 6 hold downs each using #9 wire only (wire is counted by single strands). Max of 6 strands of #9 wire only are allowed from core support to front bumper. Six strands allowed on rear bumper, BUT MUST NOT ATTACH TO TAILGATES/TRUNKS LIDS.
8. Suspension must remain free with a min. of 4" free travel. Spring jacks, blocked shock wedging, reversing shackles not allowed. Air shocks must have air lines cut.
9. Batteries must be relocated to front passenger area with SECURE mounts and a non-flammable cover. Bungee or tarp straps not allowed.
10. Cars must have brakes each and every time car enters track.
11. Roll over bar only behind driver's seat 3"; max die pipe or 3" x 3" square tubing. Bar must remain under roof. (optional)
12. Any exhaust pipes penetrating hood must point upwards, not toward front, sides, or driver.
13. No white cars allowed. Drivers door only to be white. Cars must have BOLD 18"  number on each side of car and BOLD 24" number on roof. No obscenities allowed on car.
14. D.O.T. type tires only.. Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance.
15. All cars must have a vertical safety bar in windshield area (to keep hood from entering drivers area).
16. Rules subject to change without notice. The sponsor/promoter reserves the right to disqualify or prevent any entrant from participation for any reason that they feel constitutes a safety hazard, contributes to an unfair competition, or in anyway disrupts the intention of the sponsor/promoter of having a family oriented form of entertainment and is a positive influence in the community.
17. All decisions by officials shall be final. NO APPEALS.
18. Only drivers participating on track allowed to remain on track at conclusion of that heat, consy, or feature.
19. Drivers may use front ends of car to hit with. HEAD ONS (hood ornament to hood ornament) NOT ALLOWED.
20. All cars must participate in a heat to be eligible for consolation or feature.
