Dark Angel- This show is about a young woman who is genetically enhanced and who calls herself Max(Jessica Alba). The story happens in the very near future(2019). Terrorists have detonated a nuclear bomb and the resulting electromagnetic pulse(EMP) has fried electronic circuits all over the United States reducing it to a third world country. Max and others like her are the result of a secret government project to create super soldiers with genetic engineering. She is transgenic, which means she has genes from another species(feline in her case). As a result she is very fast, strong and has other enhancements. She and others like her have escaped from a secret compound and now the government is trying to track them down. She has also become romantically involved with a regular human named Logan(Michael Weatherly). Unfortunately she has been deliberately infected with a virus that will kill Logan if he touches her. This virus will only kill him and not others. Another story that has been developing on this show is that one of the scientists who helped create Max is also a member of a secret society which has existed for thousands of years and have been developing their own super people by selective breeding. The members of this secret society want to kill Max and others like her and get really mad when Max doesn't cooperate. They get ugly and say things like, "Transgenic trash, I was trying to make it painless, now it's going to hurt". In the second year season finale, Max and the others like her have united against regular humans and plan to make a stand because they are tired of hiding and being persecuted. Unfortunately fans of Dark Angel won't get a third season of Dark Angel because the Fox Network has canceled it.
