| OK, So, this MAY be a stretch, but you're going to have to work with me people. When Tom Cruise is acting, lets say, in Vanilla Sky as David Aames, this is the person before Psychodysleptic Therapy. We think we know who Tom is at the moment we are watching Vanilla Sky, but it's not really him in real life. Just like the person with a personality disorder, he/she thinks they know who their real "self" is, but in actuality, they don't. ALSO, it is like LSD-25 in the brain, because the brain believes LSD-25 is actually serotonin acting at its receptors, but it is not. (down) | ||||||||||||||

| (Tom at The Late Show with David Letterman) | ||||||||||||||
| When Tom Cruise then does an interview for The Late Show with David Letterman, we actually see how Tom really is. This is like the person during and after Psychodysleptic Therapy. They are able to get in touch with their real "self", just like the audience of David Letterman is able to get in touch with Tom's "real" self. Also, when the chemical LSD-25 wears down, and its effects are no longer felt, it is out of the brain. That is when the brain realizes that the stuff it was seeing/hearing (hallucinations) were not actually real and that it is finally back to perceiving the world in its "real" state. Note: If you didn't understand this analogy, it's ok, I hardly understand myself/my analogy either. (hmm, maybe I should go into Psychodysleptic Therapy...it would be fun atleast!) |
