things i learned during my new years eve trip to berlin
-with an open stretch of auto bahn a mercedez benz C class will do 137 mph (220 kph).
-the statue on top of the brandonberg gate used to point towards west germany now it points to the east.
-warm wine is extremely good.
-people love to have there picture taken. if you ask first that is.
-even sweet very attractive 17 year old german girls can be hard core drug dealers.
-a canon eos 3000 takes 2 $10 lithium batteries that do not last long if you never turn off your camera.
-i don't like tina turner
-XTC will only stay in your system for 2 days.
-the german people do not like the polizei.
-the german people do not like you if you where a shirt that says polizei on it.
-when going to the club known as the Matrix in berlin the wall is directly across the street.
-if given a choice between two destinations a cab driver will always take you to the farthest one.
-just because you and a friend are very close does not mean your friends and his friends will dig each other.
-if driving correctly the trip from frankfurt to berlin should not take over 3 and half hours.
-even germany has a ghetto.
-youth hostiles tried to charge 100 DM a person for a bunk bed.
-i laughed at the youth hostile and then hooked up with a very sweet very attractive 17 year old german drug dealer
-even if a difference of opion exists in a friendship it shouldn't destroy it.
-people respect you more when you drive a nice car.
-german car stereoes automatically cut to the news and screw up your song
-there is no such thing as bottled water in a berlin club
-when eating "fine european quisine" you are never as hungry as you thought you were.
-there is a button in a mercedez C class that makes the headrest in the backseat fall down. very very annoying for the people in the back.
-ex-girlfriends can call you on new years eve and make you feel very good.
-ex-girlfriends can begin to fix themselves, but maybe not for you.
-sometimes a phone call can sort everything out.
-distance will not destroy a life long friendship but it will burn a love affair.
-i'm glad i didn't go to paris.
-sometimes things are a struggle but with determination everything can work out.
