Workshop Report

 

Seventeen participants’ teachers from Ugandan secondary schools attended a workshop at Nakawa Vocational training Institute, Kampala from 21st to 25th January 2002. The workshop was sponsored and organized by the Ministry of Education and Sports in partnership with Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA).

The course participants, who form part the pioneers of computer use in Ugandan schools, were drawn from all parts of he country. Twenty schools participated in the w/shop. The objective of this course was designed to address the common basic problems encountered in the school computer laboratories with the expected output to facilitate the teachers to handle trouble shooting in both Hardware and software maintenance and repairs said.
