| I have enjoyed crafting since I was a child and have pursued many different avenues. I am not an artist, in the sense that I have never been able to paint, sculpt or draw. That gene skipped right over me. My mother, my sons, nieces, nephews and their children are all wonderful artists. Hmmm...perhaps I can persuade them to allow me to share their work here as well. At any rate, I consider handcrafters to be artists in their own right. (Isn't that convenient for me!) I am a dabbler, meaning I play with one craft for a while and then move on to something else. Les (lovingly) refers to this as being easily distracted by "bright shiny objects". Perhaps my next calling card will read: "Jill of all trades; Master of none" At any rate, this results in the people on my gift~giving list receiving a pot~pourrie of my latest endeavors. I have never been very good about taking pictures of items I have given as gifts and I tend to give away most things that I make. Therefore, it may take me awhile to get pictures posted to this site. You can find them here: http://photos.yahoo.com/schoolmarm5454 In the meantime, here is a listing of the handcrafts I have dabbled in. |
