Another intresting building in the town of Plymouth is the old Edes manufacturing Factory. I have done an extensive search on Google, but I came up with no matches. I don't have much information on this factory but I'll tell you what I know. This building used to be Edes manufacturing and then it was bought out by Revere Copper and Brass, I'm not sure when. I know that Edes manufactured metal alloys and some of the products were called "Marathon Zinc" and "Regular Zinc". Mr. Edes was granted numerous patents for alloys of metals. I like the way that these buildings were built. Personaly, I think they have character. It looks like when these buildings were built they didn't even have a floorplan. Part of the complex is wood, one section is metal and some parts are brick and cinder block. Maybe this is because they added on over the years. When the factory had chemical waste it was just dumped outside. There are two chemical mixing tanks in the building pictured above (the one to the left) and the drain pipe for the tanks led to the land outside. The ground there is contaminated with mercury, zinc and other heavy metals. This factory is on a nice piece of waterfront property on Water Street. Nobody wants to buy it or clean it up because there's to much toxic waste in the ground. Most of the machinery is still in the building.

If anyone has any other information about these buildings,
please let me know So that I can post it.

From what people have told me, one of these buildings was a factory store where RevereWare was sold. Revere moved out of those building in the 80's and now the plant is relocated in Plymouth at 5 Boundary Street on the Plymouth/Kingston town line.
