Terrain generator

This terrain generator represents the lands of Cathay. Much of the land is an open plain, with some high grass or plateau’s. The lands are harsh and people do not often wander to far from the roads, since you easily get lost in the vast landscape with grass and plains for as far as men can see.  Most cities are huge pinnacles that rise from the steppes and travellers are always happy to see them, some people though prefer not to live in the cities, but live like nomads or in small communities in a swamp or near a bamboo forest. The overall colour from the landscape is dusty brown, with tall, grey-green grass. Battles tend to be fought in the border lands of Xuzin where goblins and Chaos warbands roam. The cast desolation of the terrain favours the fast moving mounted hordes and small, slow infantry armies are often surrounded and destroyed.

To generate an item roll 2D6. You may re-roll duplicate rolls or if you wish, add to an existing feature. All features are assumed to be no larger then 12” diameter if described as an area or 12” long if a section.

An area with especially high grass which is difficult to move through and conceals troops partially. High grass counts as difficult terrain for purposes of moving, in addition any unit trying to shoot at the unit in the high grass must first roll a 4+ on 1D6, to see whether they can spot their target.

4      Plateau

12       Monolith or cairn

This is a single large monolith or several smaller monoliths or a huge mound of boulders or several smaller cairns.
