A Tribute to My College Bud, Liz
Elizabeth Grace Strauch is someone that I consider to be a good friend. Not only does she come and visit my roommate and me almost every day, she makes fun of me, too!! What more could someone ask for?
Liz, as most of her friends call her, lives in a building at Whitworth known only as "Hobjob." Now I know, and I think it can be agreed upon, that Hobjob is a word that can be laughed at. I mean, hey... it sounds really funny. The residents of the dorm put a sign underneath the "Hobjob" sign that says, "Yes please." I think that's kind of funny, but it's also a little vulgar for a Christian college. I have no doubt that Liz was not a part of this. (By the way, Hobjob is Cantonese for "Cooperation.")
That is one of my favorite things about Liz, she's a good little girl. She's honest and yet a little weird, too. One thing that's weird about her is that her older brother is my Wind Ensemble director. Holy Smacks! Liz is my age! I'll never get over how weird that is... anyway...
So, Liz got to know me mainly by coming over to my room every time she ever got bored... she still does, too. I feel so special. Someone comes to see me when they're bored. Wow! What an honor!
Well, Liz is a really good friend and so I would like to dedicate this page of my site to Elizabeth Grace Strauch.
