Joe's Hole--yes, but what is Joe's Hole?

It's quite simple, really. Joe's Hole (the site you're at right now) is the perfect cooperation between the internet and the world as seen by me. At Joe's Hole, you can escape your own reality and take a look at the world through the eyes of your average, blue-blooded American.

Now, where did Joe's Hole come from? Here's a story: once upon a time, there was a man named Joe who lived alone in the forest and gathered berries for his food. He had pointy ears and talked to the woodland creatures for company. One day, he decided that he was going to go to the city, so he wandered through the forest until he reached the tropical paradise of St. Louis, Ohio. After investing the forty-five cents he found on the way over in to Disney, MicroSoft, and McDonald's evenly, he became a millionaire and bought several third-world countries off of eBay. Later on, though, he sold them for the common good, and went back to his first love: Bacce Ball. After he won the Bacce Championship in the Brazil Internationals, he decided to sell his secrets of success over the internet. However, as it would seem, the market was a bit too narrow, and he soon went broke. He realized that "JoesBacceSecretsOnline.com" was a failure, and in the last days of its existence he moved it to geocities.com/schmoe64, and ultimately watched it fade in to nothing. Then, after Y2K hit, his files were erased and he left the site dormant for a year and a half. One day, though, he was bored and started writing a code for a brand new site--with wider appeal. Unfortunately, Joe's Hole was all that was produced.
