At first I was quiet, keeping everything to myself; and they loved me for it.

Then I was observant, taking note of everything I saw; and they ignored me for it.

Soon I was imaginative, drawing conclusions from everything around me; and they distrusted me for it.

Later I was curious, asking questions about everything; and they despised me for it.

After that I was outspoken, letting everyone know how I felt about everything; and they hated me for it.

Finally I was free; and they killed me for it.
