EPILOGUE
JC perused the row of milk, looking for the brand he always drank. Though he
always promised himself to try something new, he never did.
Finding the brand he liked, he took a carton and put it in the cart. As he was
bent over, he felt a warm body press again his back.
He smiled and turned around.
"Ju..."
The smile dropped when he saw who it was.
"Marshall."
"The one and only, baby. It's been too long, Josh."
JC still had not recovered from the shock and just stared.
"You look good enougb to eat!" Marshall said, leaning forward to hug and kiss JC.
This time JC had the mind to move out of his ex-boyfriend's grasp.
"Um...yeah thanks. How did you find me?"
"I called Joey and Joey's wife told me you moved here. Tried your apartment but
no go. Just tried my luck here and there you were baby, looking hella fine in
that tight ass jeans," Marshall leered, running his hand over JC's hips.
JC cursed Kelly's idiocy as he took a step away.
"Anyway, I missed you, baby." Marshall drawled, trying to hug JC.
JC dodged the hug.
"Yeah right."
"What? I did!"
"After 6 months? What? You suddenly realised that the house was looking like a
pigsty and needed me to clean it?"
"Josh, it wasn't like that. We had it good. Come on."
"Did you forget that you hit me, Marshall? Did the booze fuck your brain up that
much?"
The other man's eyes narrowed.
"Watch your mouth, Josh. I came here to take you back. Don't make me change my
mind."
JC scoffed.
"You're delusional. Ok, I think I have to explain this clearly so that it sinks
into your head. We. Are. Through. As in no more. As in I've moved on and
forgotten about your abusive ass. Comprehende?"
"I don't like this new attitude of yours, Josh. Looks like I'm gonna have to
teach you to watch your mouth," Marshall hissed as he grabbed JC's upper arm.
"Problem here?"
Both Marshall and JC looked up.
JC smiled and shook his head.
"None at all, Justin."
Grabbing Marshall's wrist, he twisted it until the other man yelped and let go
of his arm. Free from his grasp, JC turned and pushed the loaded cart around his
shocked ex-boyfriend. Taking Justin's hand in his, he began to walk towards the
check-out counter.
"Just stay away from me, Marshall," JC warned as they moved away.
The moment they cleared the aisle, Justin stopped and gently grasped JC's arm
where Marshall had grabbed him.
"I so wanted to bash that guy's face in for grabbing you."
"No big deal."
"No big deal! He left a bruise on you!" Justin hissed angrily as he gently ran a
finger down the bruise.
JC smiled cheekily.
"Well so did you....last night with the handcuffs."
The comment got the desired effect as Justin smiled and leaned forward to kiss
him. After a few minutes of nasty, wet tounging and the cough of a concerned
mother, they pulled away, slightly breathless.
"No harm done, ok?" JC murmured softly to Justin's lips.
"Still, I feel gyped for missing my chance to mess with that bastard. I mean
after all he did, I should have at least gotten to give one punch."
"No, Justin."
"How about a kick?"
"No."
"What if I just trip him?"
JC grinned.
"Have I told you lately that I love you?"
"Not since this morning. And seriously I was beginning to feel ignored!" Justin
joked.
JC smiled.
"I love you jerk."
Justin grinned.
"I love you too, dork."
