Kristin's California Trip
May 23-30, 2002

I arrived at the Burbank airport after a full day of traveling (2 layovers is a nightmare, and might I recommend never traveling through Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport!).  But no rest for the weary in the fast paced land of Hollywood!  It was off to RAGE, an interesting nightclub that Courtney's radio station does a gig at every Thursday until 2 AM (that's 4 AM CST, almost 24 hours after I got up to travel the day before).  Courtney was kind enough to let me sleep in, before showing me around Melrose, and taking me out that night with some friends, including Jen, our friend from college.  Saturday was the "hike from hell" in the hills.  Remember, I'm a flatlander.  After accusing Courtney of trying to kill me, we managed to rest, do another radio gig (in studio, so not as stressful), and then head out to another interesting club.  Spundae had spacey lights and lots of dancing.  And lots of interesting people.

The Getty Garden
Monday's adventure

Sunday was a much needed day of R&R.  Monday we went to the Getty Museum (see the garden labyrinth?)  Tuesday we went to Venice Beach & Santa Monica (more pictures), and Wednesday we went to a Dodger game.  They played the Brewers!  Milwaukee almost won, but in true Brew Crew style, lost in the end.  We had kick-arse luxury suite seats, thanks to Courtney's work.  Very nice!

Check it out --it's Geoff Jenkins of the Milwaukee Brewers!  I'll travel the country to follow my team!

This is Molly.  She was looking for a home, and Courtney let her stay with them awhile.  She has since found a permanent home & is doing very well.

Two crazy gals -- out on the town again in Los Angeles.

Thanks again, Courtney, for your great hospitality.  I can't wait to visit again!
