>December 3, 2003: After a year that saw "Spider-Man" become a record setting juggernaut at the Box office and the video store, Sam Raimi has begun filming some special effects shot is Chicago for "The Amazing Spider-Man". more or less he wants to use an "L-Train" for a shot or two.
April 16, 2002: Both Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight featured Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst interviews. The major topic seemed to be a possible relationship as printed in several tabloids. And as usual with Hollywoord types, they're just good friends.On his ET interview, Tobey said that in order to nab the part, he HAD to show how fit he was and demonstrate, through a screen test, that has was physically up to the film.

March 28, 2002: the soundtrack for the film will be out April 30.Sum 41, Alien Ant Farm, Jerry Cantrell as well as some Danny Elfman music will be on it.
March27, 2002:The newest Spider-Man Trailer has started showing online and can I say holy sh!t!! What an awesome looking film! Sam Raimi is a genius!
March 26, 2002: Director Sam Raimi has gone on the record as saying that it was not his idea to use the organic web shooters, rather it was an original idea from the Jim Cameron Script. Raimi said he was thinking about using the regular mechanical web shooters, but the genetc mutation made more sense.
March 24, 2002-The film has finally been rated and as expected it has garnered a PG-13 for Stylized action and violence. Also, series II for the figure line has been spotted at KB this past weekend.
March 9,2002-Last Thursday during WWF Samckdown, the thirty Second spot premiered. It was a cut version of the trailer that has been playing in theaters for a few months now. The Film has yet to be rated, which must be that the film makers are putting some last minute touches on the special effects and what not.The Marvel Adaptation of the film (as if it would be printed by anyone else) will be solicited on April 5. Tobey Maguire is on this month's cover of GQ and talks about the role that will change his life.
February 4, 2002-"King of all Media" Howard Stern has gone on the record that he wants tickets to the premiere, whenever that may be, to "Spider-Man". Stern always, ALWAYS says he reads comic books, and always mentions his love for the web head. And he said (seriously) he wants to wear a "Spider-Man" Costume if he can go to the premiere down the line.
January 28,2002-As of this weekend, Walmart has gotten first crack of Spider-Man merchandise. Of course, I didn't know this til I went to the toy department, but they have the first series of the action figure line, as well as the toy web shooters. Supplies were short. January 24,2002-From what I read on the Entertainment Weekly site, all images of the WTC will remain in the film, but it could be rumor. Also speaking of the mag, it has listen Spider-Man as the #1 film to wait for this year!
January 3, 2002-I know you don't give a damn, but on this morning's Howard Stern Show, he made it known his excitement about the upcoming film, as well as the Marvel films coming out with in the next few years. They all said the trailer is awesome. Robin Quivers thought the effects royally excelled. ON January 1, Today made mention to the film as a huge summer hit. "Every twenty something actor wanted this part"
December 13 2001-The new theatrical trailer was shown on Temptation Island last week and I can't go a day without watching it! It kicks that much ass that if you see the trailer and Don't want to see the film, you really aren't a Spider-Man fan!
September 13 2001- as a result of the recent attack/tragedy, the trailer of "Spider-Man" has been pulled from theaters.
July 13 2001-This week, the teaser trailer for the film was premiered with "Final Fantasy". It features a bank robbery, with criminals all dressed up for a day in the office. They escape through the ceiling of the bank to a waiting helicopter. As they go over the NYC skyline, thinking they beat the rap, The copter stops and then, after a moment or two, goes backwards. It goes until it is caught in a web spun between the World Trade Center. Then you see him, Tobey Maguire in the Spider-Man outfit looking through his mirrored lenses for a secons, he then spins his web and swings through NYC. The text in between says "Next Summer, prepare for the ultimate spin. Spider-Man May 2002.The teaser one sheet poster is out too, with Spidey's head looking out over Manhattan.
June 17 2001-Whilest viewing the MTV Movie Awards, I had noticed that Kirsten Dunst's hair had gone back to her natural blonde leaving me to believe that either 1: filiming has ended, or 2:her role in the film has ended, I hope to find out in the future.
April 29 2001-Filming has started to take place in and around NYC as the weather starts to get warmer. Within the past couple of days, a firey rescue was filmed, with Tobey in Costume!(some pics on the pics link!)
April 12, 2001-Two things happened this week that I think should be of some importance:
1-Apparently someone decided that it was their destiny to steal 4 of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man costumes. Sony Pictures has put up a $25,000 reward for heir undamaged return.
2-Tobey's stuntman broke his leg while crashinginto a wall. Ouch. Looks like Mr. Maguire may have to do a little more Spidey action than he thought.
January 14 2001-The filming began on January 8. Entertainment Weekly HAS printed the picture of Tobey Maguire in the Spider-Man outfit and when I get the time and get on a system with a scanner, I'll post it on the site. I've seen it and am impressed. It is the exact costume from the books, just realized. It's all in one piece, even the boots are swewn in on the suit.!

*Peter lets the burglar get away as a result of being stiffed by the wrestling promoter.
*Uncle ben is killed during a car jacking by the crook.
* I their battle, the burglar missteps and falls out a window to his death.
