THE MORGAN MASSACRE
For a while, I had wanted to give at least one other erson a voice concerning films and film reviews. So the day has finally come when I have some one else give their two cents (be it good or bad, but MOSTLY bad) on films be it on video or in the theaters. So hold on to yer wallets as you become witness to The Morgan Massacre!
Special Edition:
In the year 2000!!............oops 2003 that is. I have walked more miles into the theaters this year than the last 10 combined. To Prove this I am listing every damned movie I trapesed through this year alone. In no real order they are :The Matrix reloaded-revolutions, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King,Tomb Raider 2, Bad Boys 2, the Rundown, Beyond Borders, X-Men 2, Underworld, SWAT, Jason vs Freddy, Pirates of the Carribean, 28 Days Later, Kill Bill, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Bad Santa, Master and Commander, Charlies Angels:Full Throttle, T3, The Hulk, House of the Dead,Daredevil, and Tears of the Sun.
Much like my counterpart James I will do my best and worst 5 of the year including my 3 biggest suprise movies and 3 big letdowns of the year.
Top 5 Movies of the year:
1)Lord of the rings:The Retrun of the King-no words can describe this event, top to bottom this movie delivered all I asked and hit me with 10 times my expectations.
2)28 Days Later-THIS is how you do horror, very little computer effects used and maximum make-up effects and tension and story and score make this THE best horror pic ever, much less 2003.
3)Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl-Jonny Depp best actor today, bar none, he makes what looks and sounds like a gay Kieth Richards, and makes him the kick ass hero we all love.
4)The Matrix Reloaded-Kick ass sequel, tons of action and cool fight scenes caught IMO the "feel" of the orignal and expanded it 10 fold.
5)Kill Bill: Volume 1:slice em up, bodily dismemberment and a schoolgirl who's a psycho....and thats just 15 min of this materpiece.
lowest of the low...well at least 5 of em
1)House of the Dead-must.....not.....remember.........plot.........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooo
2)The Matrix Revolutions-why, just why did they have to mess up a perfectly great trilogy....sigh
3)Bad Boys 2-again....why screw up a good concept, funny parts and action parts, none made any sense in transistion.
4)Beyond Borders- Angie I love ya girl....so why did you have to make a message movie with a love story also.(and again Angie babe, you'd look better in africa without your $6,000 make-up job)
5)Charlies Angels:Full Throttle-I loved the orignal, perfect brain candy, unfortunetly they mussed it up and has been forgotten in every mention about this movie season.
ok now lastly my suprises and letdowns
Suprise!!!
1)Pirates of the Carribean: Curse....ok we all know it. being disney and based on a ride I dragged my carcass to what in my eyes was gonna be a 2 hr joke, what I found was one the the most entertaining movie in years.
2)Daredevil-not a fan of the comic and not a Ben Affleck fan, but was totally suprised and happy with the concept of this movie.
3)Underworld-ok ok stop hitting me James but I loved this flick, and even though it copied the matrix in more than a few ways, I dig the dark look and inventive weapons.
What the f&^%?
1)Matrix Revolutions- I had such high hopes of this one and it just dropkicked me off a cliff and pissed on my dead body...damn you warchowski's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2)Charlies Angels.....I laughed I cried I cheered....but then the sequel came out and I was left scratching my head "WTF?"
3)Bad Boys2- again I had been waiting since the 1st movie to see this one......now it has in a way ruined something I loved and hell don't even want the dvd...even for $5.
Well thats my year end special, hope you got something from thsi and help you avoid the crap that eminates from the silver screen. I hope that 2004 for give us some good movies but as Han Solo said "I got a bad feeling about this" (Jan 16th my b-day+Tourqe=massacre)
Until next time folks, keep away from those movies that massacre the silver screen!!!!!!!
HOME GEEVES!
