Orientations & Fitness Assessments
When you join - for the first time- you will need schedule an orientation (these can range from 10 minutes to an hour depending on your needs).  A Fit-Check is strongly recommended, but no longer mandatory.    Staff is qualified and available to answer all your fitness questions.  Consultations or full fitness assessments are available by appointment, and at no extra charge.

ORIENTATION: (Once you have officially enrolled, you may join in for a morning
or afternoon session. Call for next scheduled session).

We will show you around: how to log-in, and use your access card, in addition to where
to find announcements, class schedules, incentive programs, etc.
This is highly recommended for new members.
You will be shown how to use the equipment and may be asked to try out the equipment
to check your form and technique.  Anything beyond this is up to your fitness background, needs, and wishes.
Based on your goals and interests as well as your current activity level, a basic starter program may be shown to you, by scheduling an individual One-on-One consultation.
To help you achieve your fitness goals, we will explain the fundamental components and principles of training.
This is a good time to bring your questions, and concerns, but please dont ever hesitate to ask us your arising questions at any time.
However, we are not doctors, and can not diagnose symptoms.
  Appropriate referrals may be offered.
Future sessions can be scheduled to learn new exercises or equipment.
This is not intended to be a personal training session; those are available for an additional fee.

FITCHECK & FITNESS ASSESSMENTS:
This is a great opportunity to measure your beginning fitness status, and gauge the progress later.
Although these are voluntary, we strongly suggest starting with the minimum: Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, and learning your target heart rate.
Full fitness assessments can be scheduled at any time throughout your membership, and are great tools to monitor a fitness programs effectiveness, thereby indicating where adjustments need to be made. Recommendations indicate that quarterly to bi-annually are the ideal intervals for monitoring changes.
We can assess your cardiovascular fitness, flexibility level, body fat composition, and muscular levels. Your results are compared against standardized age/gender charts to determine if you are within average levels, above the average or in need of improving any specific component thereof.
To discuss your results, schedule a 1 on 1 consultation with your trainer
If you are going to be late or are unable to make your appointment, please call the fitness center
