| The Morfa Stadium Plans Unveiled- Will it EVER be ready??? |

| Its the question on every Swans Fan lips at the moment will we stay up??? Well come 5:30pm on Saturday May 3rd,We shall know!! Soon after this date it's been un-officially claimed that there will be 24k put into the site's trust for the development of the stadium. You can understand why the council are waiting but after so many years of un-reliability,can we really believe ANYTHING our council say about the stadium whether it being official or un-official. Plans have been revealed showing the design of and around the stadium, which are VERY impressive(click on the pictures to enlarge). It is unknown yet what the stadium is going to be called, the grounds where they plan to build it is known to people of Swansea as "The Morfa" or "Morfa Stadium". The grounds its self arn't used anymore due to these maintenance checks for the stadium.They were once used every saturday afternoon for football matches for junior and senior football. And "Morfa Stadium" itself used to hold Swansea League Cup Finals before that had to be stopped due the new stadium! Anyway the council hope for the ground to be finished BEFORE the season 2005/06,Lets keep hoping eh? |
