Mt Hood from Cooper Spur

Early Summer 1997
After a nice climb up to about 8500' I took this picture as high clouds preceding a storm were quickly approaching.  I'd end up getting lost that day while going down the spur heading too far to the south, but after a few hours, I found the trail that led back to the Tilly Jane camping area.  Two weeks later, two climbers died while descending from the summit.  Cooper spur is considered to be one of the most dangerous climbs to summit Mt. Hood.  Elliot glacier is to the right.
