Their War is a major project we are doing for BBC Talent. It's going to be a 10 min war drama so we can send it away to the BBC, but it will turn into a 45 minute mini film for you and others to enjoy. Their War is set during D-day on June 6th on wards, following a group of US Infantry & heer Germans soldiers through Normandie, France. The German side of the story follows a small group who have been sent to relive other German troops from a lightly defended barn just east of Saint-L, but little they know the allies have landed in France and are advancing.
The film will be following both sides from the Americans advancing though areas of Normandie and telling there story on how they moved through Normandie with fighting and losses. Also the film will be following the story of our Germans who are staying in a destoryed barn waiting for night to pass so they can contine further into france, with a character who has weird flash backs of war, though him never meeting the enemy the Germans will share there story and soon the two sides will meet but at what end?
I have also made up a neat little communication idea for the film so you can understand both parties, even when the Germans speak with out subtitles!. with awsome effects both 5.1 surround sound and visually to excellent locations, props, weapons and uniforms we look forward to making and editing this awosme film. 98% of the film will be filmed with reenactors both acting and extras also providing us with static props and weapons to use for the production, My co-director (Chris Pozzi) is also provding most of the filming equipment which includes a Jib, Tracking, Audio Boom, Digital Audio, XL2 DV Camera, Steadycam Suit and of course excellent professional advice! With excellent sound and picture quality it will look like something you see in the cinema. There will be a DVD at the end of all this with chapters, behind the scenes and production pictures of the film. The story board in nearly done, and the script is half complete, we will be filming at Pippingford Park (where they filmed Band of Brothers ep.2) and some other locations I have found to fill in some scenes of the American side of the story. Production pictures and notes will be up soon, If you wish to help us out then please visit this link: |
