Valhalla1ReadMe.txt

Well, the credits are in the main briefing so no need to repeat here.

2 versions in the zip:
Valhalla1r.cmb = regular scenario, can be played in any mode and edited
Valhalla1rel.cmb = tournament saved version, Germans go first

Both battles are the same.

NOTES:
It took me about 4 days to get Mount Geschosskopf the way I wanted it, with vehicles actually able to climb it in the right places. You CAN get them up the steeper slopes between the "ramps", it just takes some creative waypoints.

This scenario is intended for PBEM. You can play it solitaire but must make allowance for the AI's aversion to rushing objectives unless you just want to get to the top first and butcher the AI on the slopes. If you make such allowance, it's pretty balanced vs. the AI. But it's quite balanced vs. another human.

Be warned, however, that PBEM movie files start at **2 megs** and get bigger with more combat. Also, due to the extreme elevation changes and having to load every single grass/snow texture, it takes 30-45 seconds to load the 3D graphics when you open a PBEM file. Don't worry, the game is crunching numbers and the HD will spin periodically. Eventually, you'll get into the turn.

COPYRIGHT STUFF
I think this is a cool map and it was a pain in the ass to make. I'd like to see other battles fought on it, so feel free to edit these scenarios to your own tastes--rather that than you have to make a similar mountain from scratch. So I hereby waive all copyright interest in this scenario except for this: if you upload an edited version of this scenario, at least leave the mountain's name alone and give me credit for the original version :).
