Chapter 5:
Need Entertainment???
Do you need someone to entertain your guests at extravagant parties? If you answered yes, my name is Klipspringer, and I am indeed the man for you. I have been a piano player for many years, and have even worked for the enchanted Mr. Gatsby. While I worked for the fellow, I even played the ever so popular tune, Aint We Got Fun? I respect Mr. Gatsby very much, and he was very good to me while I was with him. But now I am moving on and would like to broaden my horizons. I can practically play any piece if its classical, Italian, or even more upbeat music. Furthermore if you need a pianist for any time of event, I can attend. I am very affordable and can virtually be at your party at the drop of a hat. If you would like to visit my store, I am located off of Brooks Avenue and 42nd Street. If you have any questions, please contact me at 433-6787. Thank You
United once more
Last Thursday, Reporters say that the famous Mr. Gatsby and Daisy finally reunited once again. In the past the two used to be soul mates until it came to an end. The two were seen at the colossal home of Gatsby, with the accompaniment of Nick Carraway. It was a very dreadful and soggy day, but they all still seemed to be having a superior time together. After so many elongated years apart, Daisy finally saw what a luxurious life Gatsby was living in. She began to sob from the many extravagant things she saw in just one home. After this, the man Nick Carraway, so they say walked out of Mr. Gatsbys home, and left the two lovebirds alone. Experts say that Gatsby was telling Daisy of his dying devotion for her. He was explaining all his reasons for why he loved her and always has. After overhearing all of the conversation, we are still quite confused of talk about some green light at the end of a dock. We are not quite affirmative on what that means, but we sure know now that Gatsby wants more than one night with her. Until there next gathering, we will keep pondering.
Chapter 6:
And the truth comes out
Nick Carraway has recently given our newspaper some personal history about Mr. Gatsby that has been a secret to us all. The magnificent Gatsby we all know, who holds the huge extravagant parties, may not been who he really indeed is. Our source told us that his real name is James Gatz, from a farm on North Dakota. As we all know Gatsby attended Oxford University, but apparently he did not go anywhere near there. He attended a college up in Minnesota, but soon dropped out after two short weeks. As the years went by he served many jobs such a janitor, and a fisherman at Lake Superior. He grew up with a man named Dan Cody, who was a wealthy copper mogul. After living with him for a while, earning his nickname Jay, Gatsby decided he liked this lavish lifestyle. After Cody died, he decided that he was going to live an advanced life from now on. So evidently Gatsby is the not powerful man that we all sense he is.

An editorial by Jay Gatz

It was a Saturday night, and I was having another one of my vivacious parties, to try and attract Daisy. And in fact, this time, after all these years Daisy was finally going to attend one. But unfortunately she had arrived with her husband Tom at her side. I was having a feeling that for once, Nick Carraway wasnt truly having a good time at my party. I spotted him from a distance looking like he didnt want to be there. I have no idea if this was influencing Daisy as well, but she didnt look too content either. After greeting some guests in the horde, whom I had never seen before, I began to overhear rumors about myself. I heard one assumption from a man who believed I got all my riches from being a bootlegger. I was astounded by such a peculiar idea, and wanted to get to the bottom of this. I was very upset because after this incident I heard from Nick, that Daisy and Tom had departed. All Ive wanted for all these years was for Daisy to come and fall in love with me once more. She would then realize that Tom was not the one she loved, and it was me instead. Tom angered me when he said, you cant repeat the past. Indeed you can, and what better way if you have an abundance of wealth surrounding you. What more would Daisy want then a man with a secure background??

Chapter 7:
Editorial by Tom Buchanan
It was one of the warmest days of the summer, and many of Daisys acquaintances had come over for lunch at our home. And even Mr. Gatsby, even though I am still not too fond of the fellow. After a few hours, I could tell that daisy was becoming uninterested in the afternoon we were creating. After persistent staring between Daisy and Gatsby I soon confirmed there strong feelings towards one another. Daisy soon asked Gatsby if they could go to the city, and I agreed because I desperately wanted a confrontation between us all. After we had divided into separate cars, involving Gatsbys and my own, we were off into the citys horizon. After we got a suite at a hotel, I had started gathering my thoughts on how to start my war of words. I started criticizing him with his little Old Sport comments, and then accused him of lying about Oxford. After that opening scene, I asked him what his intentions were with my wife. He spieled on and on about how Daisy loves him, and always has over me. But I will never lower to his level of stupidity. For my wife would never on earth cheat on me, especially with a man like Jay Gatsby?

A Fatal Accident
A very fatal hit-and-run accident occurred this past weekend, and no one knows who the murderer was. It was on the border of the valley of ashes, where the suspect was hit and instantly killed. Rumor has it that the car was coming from the New York City area A witness, whom we cannot say, said that is was Myrtle Wilson who was struck outside of his restaurant. The witness also released that it was a large yellow car, with at least two passengers inside the vehicle. The car stuck the woman, paused for a moment, and then sped off far away. Police will get to the bottom of the innocent killing of Myrtle Wilson. But until now the woman shall rest in peace until her murderer is put to justice. If you turn-in yourself sooner, the charges might be a little lean ant. If you have any names of know of the murderer please contact the police department as soon as possible.

Chapter 8:
Deaths upon deaths
Shots echoed through the streets from many in the city, and shortly after two lives were taken. Today we announce the deaths of two men: James Gatsby and George Wilson. Detectives say that Wilson assumed Gatsby was the one having an affair with Myrtle, because he was seen driving the car that struck Myrtle earlier in the day. Wilson assumed that the man driving the car must have been the man who was seeing his wife. But it indeed was not Gatsby that deserved to die. Wilson still insisted that the man who killed his wife was to meet his own revenge after all. He went to Gatsbys home and found him floating upon a water raft. He shot him while he was submerged in the pool, and killed him instantly. After he killed Gatsby he immediately killed himself as well. So not only did Myrtle die, but her husband and Gatsby as well. Death has become a trend in the city this week.

Chapter 9:
A dismal funeral by: Nick Carraway
The funeral of James Gatsby was a very disappointing day. I was his closest acquaintance and tried to plan a large funeral, because I felt that he would not want to go through that alone. After I had phoned many of Gatsbys friends and loved ones, they all seemed to have reasons on why they could not attend. I was flabbergasted by the way these scoundrels were acting towards there friend. Even if you just show up for a little, its always polite to pay your respects to someone you know or once knew. In the end I could only gather myself, Owl Eyes, some of his servants, and his father Henry C. Gatz. I was pleased to see his father come to the procession and truly show how dear his son was to him. It was plain to see that throughout there lives with one another; they were very close and still will be after his death. I am sad to see him go, but in a sense he will always remain with me. I enjoyed the times we shared together, and Gatsby will live on in spirit deep down in my heart.

The Green light to the Future
The struggle of human beings to make their dreams reality is to keep moving forward, and re-create the past. The past gives not only memories, but a guide or habit on how to keep life on track for most to forget the past it is virtually impossible because it forevermore stays vivid in their minds. But once you have a fantasy, it is possible to make that dream become real. So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past. Lifes not easy, and we are all aware of that. But we will always reflect on the past, but still remain in steady motion to the future and beyond.
