In a really tough math course all grades are on a curve; therefore, your grade is directly affected by how well or how poorly others do on the final exam. Someone has acquired a copy of the exam and is black-marketing copies. Over half your classmates have been offered a copy and have bought one. If you take the test cold, your chances of getting a decent grade, and the scholarship you're after, are very low. If you report the group to the teacher, they'll know you're the one who turned them in because you are the only one who hesitated to buy. What do you do? |

I would not buy the black-marketed copy of the exam, because even if its on a curve your cheating. I would rather bomb the test, and feel good about it, then ace the test and feel horrible. Even if the grade depended on a scholarship to Harvard, if i studied my heart our i could probably get an A like the others who cheated. Just because others are all buying the fake test doesn't mean you have to. Peer pressure is a bad thing, that we all have to go through. Saying yes is so easy, but it takes all your will power to say no. You will feel so much better about yourself if you pass the exam and didn't cheat. I think cheating is wrong and im totally against it. People who cheat are just lazy and cant spend their free time studying. |
