Moral Dilemma #3
The sister of a young doctor learns from her brother that he has given false information to the state medical board when applying for a license to practice his medical specialty.  He claims that the false information was unimportant and irrelevant, but she, a doctor herself, has reason to believe that her brother is incompetent in the area for which he will be licensed and that he may endanger the lives of his patients.  If she reports him to the licensing board, he will be barred for practicing medicine in any form.  If she does nothing, people may suffer. What should
she do?
I think that the girl should report her brother to the liscening board. He gave false information to become this special doctor. So first off he lies just to become a certain career. Then she finds out and he says its no big deal, but it is because you need all the right skills and liscense to perform doctor tasks. I think that if she doesn't tell the board, innocent people getting doctor help are in danger. There's no reason for a person getting help to suffer because a doctor is not skilled in the area. If you dont have the skill, and dont have the correct schooling license, you should not be able to be that kind of doctor. Yes she is turning in her brother to jail, but at least she told the truth and he still might have a chance to get out. If she lied and kept the secret and they found out, the punishment would be far more severe.
