* what kind of handshake the person gives to you(soft, hard, or just blah)
* eye contact... eye contact...eye contact
* depth of conversation(flowing, lost)
* tone/tempo of conversation(fast,slow,nervous)
* type of conversation(boring,loud,soft,laughter)
To me these things are very important when it comes to first impressions. I think this is because when i think about a person i think about when i first met them. For some reason it always seems to stick in my mind everywhere we go.
A first impression means a lot for instance when you are being interviewed for a job at a restaurant. No manager wants to hire someone that doesnt look good, and has no good manners. First impressions give the manager a little peek at what the person is like. Even though the person might be a bit nervous, the first impression is all the person has to show in such a short amount of time.
I think that in my life a first impression is a big deal. Sometimes i don't always think thats good because then that may lead to judging a person, when you don't know the person at all. But most of the time it's right. But no matter what, you need to look behind the first impression and see the real person.
