The book stars two main characters Noah and Allie. They meet while they are in high school at a carnival on one summer night. At first they think they would never be together, as Allie is a rich girl, and Noah will never be in her league. But of couse true love beats the odds and puts them together.
They begin to spend every single moment together and then become inseperable. Until one day Allie is told she is moving back home. They are crushed ,but they vowed they would still love eachother no matter how far away the distance. Allie's mother and father dispise of Noah in the first place ,for he is too poor for their rich statis.
So as Noah sends Allie one letter a day, she is recieving none of them. Allie's mother hides them all from her so she would get over her childish love for him. Making Allie believe that she was forgetten by Noah forever. As the years went by Allie went on with her life on to new men in her new life. And finally becomes engaged to man named Lon. And now her life turns to a new twist between her love her old love and new, two intirely different men. So far im really enjoying The Notebook. I have seen the movie, but the books always seem to be ten times better and way more detailed than the movie goes. I can't wait until i get farther to the ending.
