Benjamin Franklin Bio Continued
In 1752 his invention became famous for flying a kite during a lightning storm. In addition he was part of Pennsylvania's assembly for 14 years, and in 1753 was now the deputy postmaster general. Franklin had strong opinion when he  joined the intercolonial congress. He wanted to unite the colonies against the French.
In 1757 he was sent to England negociate with the king to levy taxes. While he stayed their for the next five years, he became a delegate of the Continental Congress. Shortly after parliament was still levying taxes, Franklin soon later helped in the final draft of the Declaration of Independence.
In 1771, Franklin went to France to help out with trade treaties. He stayed there for 9 long years. He didn't return to Philadelphia until 1785, After being a memeber of the Constitutional Convention, he finally died at 84 years old on April 17th, 1790.
Benjamin Franklin was the only man in history who signed 4 of the most important relolutionary documents. He was a very old man but all of his friends, co-workers, and elders respected all he did in his life. He accomplished many important things in his life. Some of these included inventions, theories, famous documents, and started the anti-slavery movement before he passed away.
In my opinion Benjamin Franklin was a very important man in our history. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have electricity, or be able to bake in our ovens. He also helped contribute to our independence and wasn't afraid to crack a few jokes on the way. He was just a happy go lucky kind of guy who everyone respected and for the most part liked.
