| My first impression to the lyrics to "Subdivisions" was that it was about living up to your dreams can cost a lot. And while you may think it is easy to think about your future while your young, it is hard when you get there and it changes. And that growing up in a big town isn't that easy. Being a cast away is a hard thing to live with and will stay with you forever. I got this conclusion from the lyrics, " But the suburbs have no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth," and " Nowhere is the dreamer or the misfit so alone." This song made me feel like what most people feel like when they are in high shcool, afraid of being an outcast and confused about the future. I like the song because it is very real in sense that i'm sure it happens everyday. I can relate very well to this song, because when i went to my first day of high school it was very scary, and i didnt know what was going to be brought in front of me next. I felt scared and unaware of my future there, but then realized i was going to make it. These song lyrics are my second favorite of all the art resonses. | ||||
