hball1.gif (70661 bytes) So what is Horseball?

Essentially, it's a game of two ten minute halves, where two, four rider teams strive to place a ball cocooned in four leather straps through 1 metre hoops suspended 3.5 metres from the ground at opposing end of the pitch. Each team must make three consecutive passes of the ball before going for goal.

Unfortunately the above statement doesn't do justice to the 20 minutes of adrenaline packed entertainment that is Horseball.

Horseball is high speed, heart stopping, equestrian action. Imagine riding full gallop, hanging from the side of your horse, trying to pick up a ball lying on the ground, before your opponent gets there.

Make no mistake, Horseball is not a game for the faint hearted.

In the words of The Telegraph it's "....a chance to make all your dreams come true in one big, thundering, whinnying gallop."

South Causey Equestrian Centre has enjoyed a long association with the sport. In fact, Phillip Moiser is the current England team Captain and Coach. His expert advice and coaching  has enabled several Causey players to reach international level, and has ensured lively, competitive games with anyone who visits us.

But don't take our word for it. Go to our Video Library and see for yourself.
