SCCGC Carnival
Glass Programs
By Bob
Patterson
The
Southern California Carnival Glass Club meets quarterly during any given
year... the
first or second Sunday in February, and the third Sunday in May, August and
November.
The club was established in 1967 with "Good Luck" being
our motto.
Our newsletter is
published quarterly by Judy Maxwell, the President of our club. Thanks Judy!! It
has a lot of information, articles, and color pictures!
Belonging to any
club provides an up close view of Carnival Glass. (Ours, of course, is the
best!) Pictures and images on
the Internet can sometimes distort colors or blur patterns. There is
nothing like seeing Carnival Glass first hand and learning from
experienced collectors. Carnival Glass is bought and sold at our meetings,
and members are encouraged to bring in glass to share and discuss.
Our quarterly
meetings are held at the Golden Sails Hotel in Long Beach. Lunch is served,
a business
meeting and a Carnival Glass program follow. This is a great forum for collectors to get together and talk about
their favorite topic -- "Carnival Glass".
Those who have attended our meetings have been treated to some fantastic educational
programs over the years. I am listing the topics that were featured at our
club meetings over the past ten years. This will give you a small taste of
what the meetings were about. Try
it, you’ll like it!
See you there!
