Meet the Youth Ministry team

To try to provide a better program for the youth of Seymour Congregational Church, the Youth Ministry Team has been formed. The members are Kathy Creighton, Nancy Rogers, Bob Hendrick, Brenda White, Debbie Castro and Mike Bolash. Kathy re-established the youth program at SCC in 1998 with the Sr. Hi Youth Fellowship. Bob Hendrick came on board as co-advisor in 1999. Kathy’s daughter Audrey and Bob’s daughter’s Melissa and Laura were members of the group. Shortly after the addition of Bob, Brenda joined in. At the time Brenda was working on her education degree so the program was a good fit for her. In December of 2002 the Youth Group Alumni was formed for the college crowd. Kathy and Bob continue to work with this group. In 2004, we decided to combine the Middle and High School groups with the dwindling numbers of high schoolers. With her many years of experience with the 6-8th grade class, Nancy Rogers was recruited. This year, after realizing all they have done for our confirmation classes, chaperoning their retreats at Silver Lake, etc. we invited Debbie Castro and Mike Bolash to the team. Debbie in October and Mike last month. They eagerly accepted and have already contributed some awesome program ideas. When you see them, please say “Hello” and “Welcome”. If you are not sure who any of these people are, ask someone you do know to introduce you.
