Chitra Soundar
Chitra Soundar is a writer whose work is enriched by her diverse professional experience
and inspired by the ethnic culture of India. The author of more than seven print and e-books,
Chitra is actually an IT professional by vocation who has been working in IT education,
career counseling and software development in the last eleven years.
Chitra's interest in storytelling goes back a long way -- back to when she won first prize as
a storyteller at the age of seven. Two years later, she made up her first rhyme, just a few
minutes before recording a radio-show. Clearly, the passion and interest is shared by
her family. Chitra's rhymes, in fact, were presented on state radio by her younger sister. In
addition, her mother writes and directs humorous plays in vernacular Tamil for children and
adults. As for her father, he is Chitra's constant source of encouragement.
Chitra lives in Singapore and may be contacted at [email protected]
