* Taken pride in signing the rescue tube at the end of the year
* Been thrown off the back wavepool wall at the end of the year at least once
* Received attention from the maintenance staff (Mike)
* Been asked to please come back again next year by that person
* ... because it wouldn't be the same without you
* Can recite the Ellis Handbook cover to cover
* Answered your personal phone, " (West Side Wavepool). This is (Becky)."
* Decided who got to go to the Rad with a "Rock, Paper, Scissors" Tournament
* Used a list like this as a checklist
* When someone says "Clear", you raise up your thumbs
* Built a 'house' or 'maze' out of Malibu tubes
* Wore the warmup jacket without the shirt underneath (because it wasn't against the dress code then)
* Looked at sunblock and said "I don't need that anymore, so ----- it."
* Know that at the perfect pace, you can walk a mile on the river in 25 minutes
* .... figured that out mathamatically on a very slow, cold day walking the river
* Proudly display whistle/mini rescue tube on keychains

* Can remember what the park looked like before tube rentals and cabanas
* Remember when Rotation C was river and Malibu and that was about all
* Thought about taking home a Soak City innertube
* Applied for shift leader at least once
* Played innertube waterpolo
* Played in the Lifeguard Olympics
* Seen a friend outside of work and reached for your whistle to get their attention
* ... had someone use their whistle to get your attention outside of Soak City
* Been driven crazy by the whistles at a sports game
* Been refered to as "the Lifeguard" by people who have nothing to do with Soak City, in a situation that has nothing to do with lifeguarding

* Couldn't wait until Raul's birthday because that's when they mail out the rehire letters
* Called up all of your Soak City friends the instant you got your rehire letter in the mail
