this is the house that became our home when we moved to ohio. this picture takes me back to the days when aaron, my sister's boyfriend at the time, and now brother-in-law would come over to the house and build snowmen with us in the front yard. we built them so tall that we still had big lumps of snow in the yard in march and april. =)
okay...gotta go from oldest to youngest, right? i think that's how we've always done it...ya know...when ya name off all your brothers and sisters, ya start up at the top and go down. so i'll start with wendy. when i was little, she was the boss when mom and dad weren't around. i'm sure she was glad to be the built-in baby-sitter for mom and dad too. she also went to cedarville for a couple years. that's when i first heard of the 'ville. anyhow...here's a pic of her and her husband, aaron. this picture is getting to be outdated. considering it was taken before they had any kids. they've got 3 now! oh DEAR! =) time for sarah to get a new picture of them. they don't live too far from my house back home. so i get to see their little cuties every once in a while. =) they are SO stinkin cute. did i mention that they're CUTE? =)
to the left is glen and steph. steph is the next oldest. when we lived in maryland, she used to teach me and my little sister eighty's songs. but now that she's older and married with kids, she's gotten to be much more mature. =) hehe...well...she did call me here at school not too long ago to leave a message on the machine of her singing an ENTIRE song (Comma, Chameleon-Boy George...oh me, oh my) for me to sing along with later. =) But really, she's one of my best buds. =) and i wish she and her wonderful family could live closer so that we could decorate cakes and landscape together. if you really wanna score some points with her, she likes these marshmallow and coconut covered chocolate and cremefilled things called snoballs.
on the right is my brother andrew. he's 2 years older than me, i grew up with all the teachers in school expecting me to be some brain like him. =) he really is a smarty pants (but he'll deny it if i try and tell him that.) =) anyhow, he's got a degree in music, and is doing graduate work in the same field hoping to take europe on a few years down the road. we used to sing together in a small choir at our old church, and when we went to college together for a semester, and also at our friend beth's wedding.
next is amy. she's the youngest. she was either the peacemaker between us "little ones" (that's what mom and dad have called us since, well...we were little), or else she and i ganged up against andrew. and then there were the times she and andrew would gang up against me. ya know...it was never me and andrew up against her. how'd that happen? anyhow...i miss hangin out with her since i'm away at school and now that she's involved in her engineering stuff with her engineering friends at her school.
above: one of my elders took this picture at our church family's "winter fun day" last year. me, andrew, and amy all hung out with the kids there that day-playing games with them, and listening to them tell some pretty good stories.
below: me and amy on the shores of lake erie =)
