Jewish sacrifices were halted in 70 A.D. when the Romans destroyed the temple in Jerusalem and the people were subsequently scattered. Even today, after the return of the nation of Israel to their homeland, the Jewish people have yet to re-establish the system of covenant sacrifices. Until the Jerusalem temple is rebuilt, it will remain that way.
However, the sacrificial system wasn't stopped entirely. Although only a handful remain, each year, a remnant of ethnic Samaritans still sacrifice Passover lambs on Mount Gerazim (in the area now know as the West Bank) just as they did in Jesus' day (cf. John 4:20-24).
