Time limit

We talked for hours- I'd found a new friend
Yet so much more I hadn't anticipated.
Slowly getting closer, the signals we'd send
Hands almost touching- you didn't move away
So I moved in for the kill, grabbed your hand
Increasing intensity- I want you more, more, more.
The limits of time my most hated demand.

Holding you close in our quiet place
Lust and passion- don't want to let go
I'll miss you so much more than just another face
Wishing time would stop- feels like it has
But moments pass as raindrops fall
Wanting to stay in your arms forever
Devote myself, give you my all.
