| Children playing in the park Chattering noisily, shining smiles. On the beach having a lark The queue for ice-cream lasts for miles. Sun beats down on frazzling hair, Burnt backs, exposed, low factor sun cream. Surfing, gliding through the air Glittering waves roll- float like a dream. Clear blue skies map out above Feet below, dusted in soft sand. Happy couples walk with love, Along the promenade hand in hand. Timeless joy in which we laze, Beneath the trees to lie in the shade Sunlight stretches through long days, Soft shadows mark time- sink, turn and fade. |
