| Since those times, it's been a while Wild nights; strangers staring She was a sweet girl Her golden hair, shining smile We were two sweet girls Too many knew the truth Homophobics tore me apart. 'Friends' out to hurt me Surrounded by bitches She still had my heart. We got through the hard times Fought for our rights Took so much stick I hated them all And loved only her And what makes her tick. But our ways we drifted So different our routes Were we really lovers? We turned out to be Just what I needed; Friends like any others. So friendship has grown; Our lives have changed We wonder about the past; What could have been- A blossoming love? It wasn't to last. So now my friend tells me, (Who knows what she's feeling) In the form of a text message: Grab some honey And meet me on the ceiling. |
