Breathe

Deeply, Slowly, Clearly
Relaxed, Calm.
Anxiety- tension.
Like a clamp about my ribs
Fear suffocates me,
The air rushes in;
But not enough.
It leaves too fast,
I need more-
Breathe.

Deeper, Longer, Faster,
Who stole the oxygen?
Polluted city;
I hardly breathe.
Wretched alcohol takes me,
No control in life.
Why did I give in to it?
Social confidence.
I want you, and want my friends to be safe.
She chokes me, you take my breath away.
They'd be safer if they could help me
Breathe.
