I have always loved to draw and paint and did well in art classes at school. Since then I have taken recreation classes and a couple of college classes. Over the years I have had times when I have painted only with oils, other times acrylics and right now it is watercolor, the most challenging of all. I also love pen and ink drawing and have filled many small sketch books with a record of places I have traveled, both near and far. Working and raising a family have rather got in the way of my painting hobby, but now that I have more time I go out regularly with a watercolor group to paint on location. In 2005 I fulfilled a life time ambition to go away on an outdoor workshop and enjoyed a wonderful week at beautiful Toulumne Meadows doing nothing but painting. It was glorious!
