| Against the Odds |
| her only want, her only desire, is t obe alive again, to feel alive for once, she wants to be a normal human being; but can normal truly exist? what is it measured against? how is she different when she appears to be the same? do her feelings dictate who she is? just because she wishes she could sleep forever, does that make her crazy? why does society look down upon her because she cuts her own skin? she wants to be better, whatever that means; all she really wants is to feel.... to feel wanted, and needed, to feel included, when she does what she does; she isn't weak because she is here; her presence shows her strength; but is she strong enough to make it through when all the odds are against her? she can hope, and pray, but still.... her only want, her only desire, is to be alive again. 10/4/03 |
