Second Battery
We are so blessed to live in such a wonderful country with many beautiful national parks that have been created by God and set aside for our enjoyment by our government.  To fully enjoy these, we prefer to camp in as many of these parks as possible.  As most of these do not have electrical sites in the campgrounds, changes were required to the Coyote.   I have added an additional battery to the Coyote.  To do this, the shelf that holds the battery on the tongue of the trailer required altering.  Thanks to a wonderful friend and welder, this was accomplished.  We removed the angle iron on the back and welded on a new piece further back to allow the battery to be rotated 90 degrees so that two could sit side to side.  To simplify the securing of the battery boxes, I added a piece of exterior grade plywood and painted all of it black to match the tounge.  With the second battery in place, we were able to go four days without running out of power.  This allowed us to only charge when we moved from one park to another during our Grand Canyon Trip in 2005.

To enjoy more of the luxeries we have in our fine Coyote while dry camping national parks or forests, we decided to add a solar panel to our Coyote.  Once again my wonderful welding friend came through.  He had access to a "Free" xx watt solar panel that he gave me.  With help from .....
