Carpenter Camping - Grand Canyon Trip 2005
Zion Canyon
Zion was Goregous.  There were many things to do and see in this park.  We loved Watchman Campground in the park.  It has electricity which was required.  It reached 115 degrees each day we were here.   The kids enjoyed swimming in the Virgin River to keep cool.  We also did a one hour horse ride.  Well worth the money.  If we could do it over again, I would do more research before visiting the park.  After leaving, I found there were many things I did not see.  Also we would come in early June to avoid the heat.  We loved walking up through the Narrows, visiting the Emerald Pools and the Weeping Rock.  Don't miss taking the shuttle around dusk.  It is wonderful to see all the wildlife, including the tree full of turkeys just after sunset.  Next time I would take the trail through Echo Canyon and try to visit the Left Fork of North Creek.
