Just a quickie tonight. First, happy birthdays to Bryan and to Lauren.

Christmas was lovely, especially since it snowed. First time it snowed for Christmas in nine years. Sure it made driving to Church and lunch kind of icky, but ya know, there's nothing quite like big ole puffs of snow falling all around. Yes, I got some nifty gifts, too. One of the most impressive was the one my kid brother got me, since he successfully deceived me into believing he bought it for someone else, and then surprised me on Christmas morning with an autographed poster of Les Miserables (the whole cast signed). Good job kiddo!

I happened to spend half of my Christmas on a
plane out here, and therefore got to see every member of my family on Christmas this year. Of course my time in LA hasn't exactly been full of merry making. I helped Albert put in some hardwood floors, which is actually a lot more work than Trading Spaces makes it seem.  It does look good, though, so all is well. I didn't even go out while I was here! I don't know why, but I was on the tired side, even on the weekend. I did have a celebrity sighting during dinner, though, when Omar Epps moseyed on into Buddha's Belly on Beverly. Too bad I didn't see any of my future husbands... That'll be another day.

I fly back later today, which will have me home for my 22nd birthday. Nope, no plans, except probably my annual birthday lunch with Lauren. We've been doing that for the last six or seven years, so it's quite the tradition. Other than that, who knows. All I know is that I'm glad I claimed another incredibly active year (I went to Spain twice and graduated from
college man!) , and can't wait to conquer the years to come!
