The wait is over. In just over 13 hours I'll be in the theater watching
THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS!!! I have waited a full freaking year, and if it's even remotely as good as the first one (which I know it'll be better because the story is better), then I won't be disappointed. First, Peter Jackson is brilliant in both telling the story and showing it, and invested what seems like his soul into this project. Next, we get to see the Ents. Yes, they're like glorified talking trees, but ya know, they're just too cool. Third, there's supposed to be a 45-minute battle scene (Helm's Deep), and since that'll probably be far superior to the PS2 video game version, then woo hoo! And even if all of this fails and something went horribly wrong, I have one quality that will have me raving and gushing and panting and drooling: Orlando Bloom as Legolas in all out warrior mode.

Oh, and then right after the movie, my dad and I go right to a
Wizards game. Woot!

You know, now that all my gift buying and wrapping is done (minus 2 things that won't arrive till, like, Christmas eve), I feel kind of empty. Not in a bad way, but I have a lot of free time that I need to figure out how to use. I've partially remedied that by helping my mom bake her cookies. (P.S. If you ever want gourmet Filipino cookies or cakes, you can order from my mom.) But even that has me feeling half-full. So I've decided that I'll be baking even more holiday cookies, but for my own fun instead of filling orders. I just bought edible glitter today to decorate them with. Or other things, should those other things EVER come up, which I doubt! But I digress. So I'm thinking some sugar cookies, or biscotti, or chocolate chip. It's amazing the
recipes you can find online. I figure that I'll experiment, and whatever doesn't turn out delicious, the dog will get. Merry Christmas, Bishop!

I love the holidays, and I doubt that's much of a secret. I have a feeling that I'm going to be one of those people who has wrapping parties or little get togethers to bake holiday cookies. The first "party" I'll have (one of these days) will be a Christmas film fest, including the great fun ones like
Nightmare Before Christmas, Scrooged, and A Christmas Story. Hehe maybe I can integrate that with both a cookie baking thing and gift wrapping, though I bet that'd be a bit messy.

Anyways, just a few more hours till I see my future husband on the big screen again. I predict that I'll be seeing LotR at least 4 times before it's out of theaters.
Someone wise once said something about experiencing the great movies on the big screen while you can, because you won't be able to again for another 10 or so years, if even. Oh, and that "someone wise" was wrong about something he said about me on his page: I didn't say that Ice Age was good when it first came into theaters because I hadn't seen it until it was out on video, so blah on you. But I digress once again. Hehe I may be a tad excited to see the LotR. Then again, I just came from the gym, and I could still be hyped up off those endorphins. Yay!
